Welcome to “varadaraja college of Nursing”, which is the flagship of varadaraja education trust founded by Dr.Durgadas asranna to promote educational institutions to impart quality education and is recognized as one of the best nursing educational institutions maintaining high standards of education.
Varadaraja college of Nursing” was established in the year 2004. The College offers Basic B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (PBBSc N), M.Sc Nursing & Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (DGNM) Programmes. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, recognized by Karnataka State Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council. The School of Nursing is affiliated to Karnataka State Diploma Nursing Examination Board.
The nursing programmes focus on equipping and channelizing the knowledge, attitude, skills and potentials of the students effectively and efficiently to provide quality health care. The students are prepared intensively for maintaining professional standards and facilitating them for quality nursing practice by a team of qualified, experienced and committed teaching faculty.
We focus on the holistic personality development of the students by not only concentrating on academics but also involving them in co-curricular & extracurricular activities. We are committed to inculcate strong moral and ethical values in our students which are essential for a nurse. The college also promotes and conducts faculty development programmes by encouraging their participation in various National and International Seminars and Workshops. We also contribute in development of nursing profession by organizing various Workshops, Seminars and observing national and international health day themes of importance.

Post Basic BSc Nursing (PB.BSc Nursing)
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (PB-B.Sc.) is designed to inculcate an in-depth understanding of advanced level nursing. Under this programme, aspirants brush up their learning to provide complete medical care to the patients. The students acquire both surgical and non-surgical nursing skills that prepare them for varied real-world clinical and hospital settings.

Pass in BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing with 55% aggregate marks. *50% - Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates
*Registration in any State Nursing Registration Council as a registered nurse and registered midwife.
*Minimum one year of work experience after obtaining Basic B.Sc. Nursing in a hospital or in nursing educational institution. For candidate with Post Basic BSc in Nursing, no such experience is needed after graduation. Medically fit
